RAYLOC BRAKE SELECTOR TOOL FAQsx

  1. I am having some functional issues such as:
    1. Check boxes on the tool aren’t functioning, registration fields don’t appear, the "save progress" or "next" buttons aren’t functioning, etc.
      1. The Brake Selector Tool is optimized to work in browsers IE7 and beyond, Chrome, and Firefox. If you are using an older version of these browsers, please consider updating your browser as that may solve your issues. Download IE10 here.
  2. I have not received my registration confirmation e-mail.
    1. Check your junk box or spam filter.
  3. What do I do if the link in the registration confirmation email does not work?
    1. Sometimes email programs will take a long link and wrap them onto two different lines. If you copy and paste the link into your web browser, the link will work.  You will need to click directly on the link or attempt to remove any line breaks.
  4. What do I do if I forgot my Username/Password?
    1. Forgot your username or password? No worries! Under the login screen you’ll see "Forgot username?" and "Forgot password?" links. Click those and we’ll send you an email with instructions to make new ones.
  5. Why can’t I move on from "The Basics" screen?
    1. Have you entered in a phone number and customer name in the top right? Those fields are mandatory to continue using the app. In cases where customers may not want to provide their name and/or phone number, you can use your name and phone number.

      Do note that we included those fields to facilitate you being able to refer to the customer by name, pull up their selection at any time and follow-up with them after completing the selection as needed (for example if they did not purchase brakes right away.) 

  6. Can I email or print the recommendations?
    1. You can do both! Once you get to the recommendations screen, there are buttons below the recommendations that will prompt an email or printable document.
  7. What if I have general questions about the tool?
    1. You can always email us using the "Need help? Email us" button on the bottom of the page with any inquiries and our staff will help you with any questions you may have.
    2. To help us better assist you, the email will prompt you to answer the following questions:
      1. Are you on a MAC or a PC?
      2. What browser are you using? Internet Explorer (are you on version 8.0 or older?), Chrome, Firefox, Safari
      3. If you received an error message, please let us know exactly what it said. Or you can attach a screen capture of it if that’s easier.
      4. Did you receive a confirmation email once you registered? If not, have you checked your Junk Email box?
      5. Do you have any other questions or comments?
